Parquet is a type of flooring crafted from the most remarkable of all materials: wood. It is designed exclusively for interior spaces within enclosed buildings. As a rule, parquet is made from hardwood sourced from deciduous trees.
Genuine parquet is an exceptionally refined and sophisticated flooring solution. Its installation requires sound knowledge of natural sciences and physics, combined with true craftsmanship and technical expertise.
Typically, parquet is installed with the wood grain running horizontally. Wooden flooring where the annual rings are visible and the grain runs vertically is known as wood block paving (end-grain flooring). Parquet is widely regarded as the most premium and classic form of flooring.
Due to its composition of smaller wooden elements, parquet always requires a stable and load-bearing subfloor.
As wood is a hygroscopic material, parquet flooring helps regulate indoor climate conditions. Thanks to its closed surface, it is also highly hygienic and easy to clean.

- Maintaining appropriate indoor climate conditions (temperature between 20–22°C / 68–72°F and relative humidity of 45–60%)
